Minor Service

Minor Service should be done every 3,000 miles to 4,000 depending on riding style. More aggressive lifestyle requires minor services at a shorter intervals compared to weekend cruising. Check with the service manual to see the recommended service intervals.

• Check compression, except @ 600 mile service
• Change Oil and Filter
• Sync Carbs or throttle bodies
• Lube Major cables (i.e. Clutch and throttle)
• Replace spark plugs, except @ 600 mile service
• Clean or replace air filter
• Clean, lube, and adjust chain or replace shaft oil
• Check or replace coolant
• Fill or replace hydraulic fluids
• Clean Fork Tubes
• Check Brakes
• Check all lights and brake switches
• Lube kick stand, footrests pivot & grease fitting on suspension
• Check for gasket and seal leaks
• Check tire PSI and condition
• Check major nuts and bolts (i.e. Axles and motor mounts)
• Test ride – Minimum 2 miles
• Wipe down bodywork
